1 3/4 c. boiling water
1 c. uncooked oats
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 T. cocoa
3/4 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet choc. chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Pour boiling water over oats. Let stand 10 minutes. Add sugar and butter, stir until melted. Add eggs and mix well. Sift together dry ingredients and mix with oat mixture. Stir in 1/2 pkg. chocolate chips. Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x13" pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and nuts evenly over top. Bake for 40 minutes or toothpick tests done.
