Cake:

½ cup butter
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsps. baking powder
2 tsps. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. ground cloves
1½ cups applesauce
1 cup raisins
½ cup chopped walnuts

Frosting:

6 ozs. cream cheese, softened
½ cup butter
2 tsps. vanilla
2 cups sifted powdered sugar

For the Cake:

In a large bowl, beat the butter about 30 seconds. Add both sugars and egg; beat until combined. Stir together flour, baking powder, soda and spices; add alternately with applesauce. Stir in the raisins and nuts.

Pour into greased 9x13" pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes.

Spread frosting on when cooled

For the Frosting:

Beat cream cheese until fluffy. Add butter and vanilla; beat until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the powdered sugar until spreadable.
