1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
water
1 16-oz can sliced peaches, drained (reserve syrup)

1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbsp butter

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350ºF. Mix well, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Stir in milk just until blended. Spread in greased 9x9 pan. Top with peaches. Add enough water to reserved syrup to make 1 1/2 cups; heat with brown sugar and butter until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Pour over peaches (mixture will be thin). Bake for 30-40 minutes. Serves 6-8. Syrup will thicken as it cools.

Recipe can be doubled. Use 13x9x2 pan. Mix syrup with enough water to make 2 1/2 cups.
