1/2 cup half and half
1 cup sour cream
1 cup canned pumpkin
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 Tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon cloves
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Combine half and half, sour cream, pumpkin, vanilla, sugar, flour, cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, cloves and salt. Mix well. Beat in egg, then turn filling into pie shell. Place pie shell on a cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees 20 minutes, then reduce heat and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Cool.

Judy makes this pumpkin pie nearly every year and on more than one occasion, many, many cloves have made their way into the pie filling. Extra spices always seem to "jump" in. It just wouldn't be Thanksgiving if we weren't fishing out extra spices from the pumpkin pie filling and hoping that it turned out alright in the end. It always does!
