1 -1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large onion diced
1 large red pepper, cut in 3/4-in pieces
1 large green pepper, cut in 3/4-in pieces
1 garlic clove, minced
3 tablespoons chili powder
1-1/2 teasppons salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1 28-oz can tomatoes in puree
1 17-oz can corn, drained
1 15-oz can kidney beans, drained
1 12-oz can beer
3 tablespoons tomato paste
2 tablespoons molasses

Directions:
Directions:
In a large Dutch oven, cook ground beef, onion, red and green pepper, and garlic until hamburger is light brown. Add chili powder, salt, cumin, and crushed red pepper. Stir and cook for 1 minute.
Place beef mixture and remaining ingredients in a large crockpot. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.

My youngest daughter says this chili is too fancy, but it is my favorite. The red pepper is a key ingredient to marry all the flavors.
