3/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 cups flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 cup milk
1/2 to 1 cup sliced almonds

Filling:
1/2 cup almond paste
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, sugar and egg Add flour and baking powder. In separate bowl, mix filling ingredients. Grease and flour an 8 inch cake or pie pan. Divide dough in two parts. Spread one part in bottom of pan. Spread filling over crust. Spread remaining dough over filling. Brush with milk or egg white. Sprinkle with sliced almonds. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Serve cold.
