2-3 apples
9 oz onions
2 tbsp vegetable fat or butter
4 bratwurst sausages
salt
freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
-Peel, quarter, core and slice the apples.
-Peel, halve and slice the onions.
-Heat the vegetable fat in a pan and fry the sausages until brown/cooked through.
-Add the apple and onion slices, cover and braise for about 10 minute.
-Season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.

I recommend cooking this in a cast iron skillet, as it caramelizes the fats in the dish
