Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 yellow cake mix
2 sticks butter (softened) (divided)
4 eggs (divided)
8 oz. cream cheese (softened)
1 lb. powdered sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Butter bottom of 9x13 in. pan.
FIRST LAYER: Combine cake mix, one stick butter, and 2 eggs. Mix well and spread in bottom of buttered pan. (Note: Use electric mixer as mixture will be very thick. To spread evenly, use rubber spatula and ‘pat’ into pan.)
SECOND LAYER: In the same mixing bowl used for cake mixture, combine cream cheese, one stick butter, 2 eggs, and powdered sugar. Beat well and pour over first layer. Bake for 45 minutes. The cake should be browned and dry on top and semi-firm under that. It is just right and will be moist and delicious if it still 'jiggles' a bit under the 'crusty' top, but it should not be 'soupy.' After removing from oven, the center of the cake will ‘fall.’ This is normal.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe was from a sister in Christ who belonged to a church in Oklahoma where our family attended. Always a favorite of my family's; this cake is one of my 'go-to' desserts because it is rich and gooey without frosting.
