1 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. white sugar
1 large egg
1 T. orange rind, grated
2 tsp. orange extract
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. white chocolate morsels

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Beat the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add in the egg, orange rind, and orange extract, beating until blended. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt and gradually add to the sugar mixture, beating until just blended after each addition. Stir in white chocolate morsels. Drop dough by rounded tablespoon onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes. Remove to wire cooling racks to cool completely.
