2 medium acorn squash, halved, remove seeds
1/2 cup apple juice or water
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. grated orange peel
2 medium tart apples, cored, 1/8 inch thick slices

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º . In 13x9 baking pan, place squash cut side up. Pour apple juice or water in pan, set aside. In small bowl, combine butter, nutmeg, honey and orange peel. Divide apple slices evenly among squash halves, filling the seed cavity. Pour butter mixture over apples and divide evenly. Cover with foil. Bake for 45 to 50 min. or until squash is fork tender. Let stand 5 min. before serving.
