1/2 cup crisco
1 1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 bottles red food coloring
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp cocoa
1 tsp salt
2 cups cake flour
1 cup buttermilk
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 tsp baking soda

Icing:
1 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup crisco
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Mix crisco, sugar and add beaten eggs. Add food coloring and vanilla.
In separate bowl sift flour, cocoa, and salt. Combine dry and moist ingredients adding buttermilk to mix. In separate bowl mix vinegar and baking soda and add to cake mix.
Bake 350º for 30-45 minutes.

Icing:
In saucepan cook 1 cup milk, 1/4 cup flour and pinch of salt. Heat until thick. Cool.
In bowl beat 1 1/2 cups white sugar with 1 cup crisco until fluffy.
Combine ingredients and add vanilla and almond extract. Ice cooled cake.
