2 T vegetable oil
1 c buttermilk (or 3/4 c whole milk)
1 c SELF-RISING cornmeal (white or yellow) stone ground is best



Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
Mix until well blended.
Pour into a well greased iron skillet or 6 cup muffin pan and bake for 25 minutes at 425 ° F.
