1 pkg (16 oz) ground pork sausage
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
4 large celery ribs, chopped
5 cups crumbled cornbread
1/4 c chopped fresh parsley
2 c chicken or turkey broth
1/4 c dry sherry or dry white wine
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp rubbed sage
1 large Granny Smith Apple , finely chopped

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook sausage in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring until it crumbles and is no longer pink. Remove sausage and reserve drippings. Sauté onion and celery in hot drippings until tender.
Combine sausage, onions, celery and cornbread with all remaining ingredients, in a large bowl. Stir gently until moistened throughout
Spoon into a well greased 13"x9"x2" baking dish. Bake uncovered, for 45 minutes.

May be prepared day ahead and refrigerate until time to bake. Start in a cold oven and bake for 55 minutes.
