"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

PREPARING CHICKEN SOUP

Pour chicken broth into a large pot. Add the carrots, onions and celery. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the frozen egg noodles. Then pull apart the chicken and break into desired pieces. Add chicken to the soup mixture.
ADDING THE “CREAMY” MIXTURE FOR SOUP

You will need an airtight container to make the flour/milk mixture to add to the soup. You must follow this process or it will not work right. I use a glass or plastic storage container with a tight lid to do this.

Add 1 cup of flour to your container with 1 cup of milk. Seal the lid and shake until the milk and flour are completely mixed.

Then slowly, while stirring the simmering soup, add this flour/milk mixture and watch how it instantly becomes thick and creamier.

Then add the remaining 1 cup of milk to the soup. As long as your frozen egg noodles have cooked for 20 minutes, your soup is READY to serve.

YUMMY SERVING OPTIONS

Consider pouring your soup over a biscuit OR mashed potatoes OR BOTH!! You will find yourself craving this all year long just like Thomas!!

Personal Notes:
This creamy homemade chicken noodle soup will taste like you slaved for hours and will soon become a favorite meal as it has for my family! One batch is usually enough to feed a family of 4-5 with enough leftover for dinner the next day or to freeze for future enjoyment. You can pour it in a bowl over homemade mashed potatoes or over quick-bake Pilsbury biscuits...or BOTH. This is probably one of Thomas’ favorite meals requested of me!!
