4 eggs, beaten
1 pint hot milk
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
Dash of nutmeg
1 unbaked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients and pour into pie crust; sprinkle some nutmeg on top. Make sure there is no crack in the pie crust or the custard will seep beneath the crust.
Bake at 475º until all browned, about 5 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 350º and bake for 35 minutes longer until set or knife comes out clean when tested in middle of pie.
