2 cups butter, softened
2 Tablespoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups powdered sugar
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon baking powder
Parchment paper
Thin royal icing

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter and vanilla at medium speed until creamy. Whisk together powdered sugar, flour, and baking powder. Gradually add sugar mixture to butter mixture, beating at low speed until blended. Flatten dough into a disc and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill in refrigerator 1hour to 3 days. Place dough onto lightly floured surface and roll to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut with desired cookie cutter. Place 8 cookies 1/2 inch apart on parchment lined baking sheet. Bake @ 350 degrees for 12-13 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 5 minutes. Transfer to wire racks, cool, and ice with royal icing. Let dry 1 hour.
