1 loaf of day old french bread torn into pieces
1quart of milk
3 eggs
2 Cups of sugar
2T. vanilla
1 T.butter
1 C.raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Soak bread in milk. Crush with hands until well mixed
Add sugar,beaten eggs.raisins and vanilla.Stir well.
Melt butter in baking pan and add bread mix.
Bake @ 325 º for glass and 350 º for metal pan. Bake until very firm. about 45 min.
Serve with whisky sauce.

Whisky sauce recipe:
1 stick of butter creamed with 1 Cup of sugar
Cook in double boiler until hot and sugar is well dissolved. Taste to check.
Add 1 beaten egg and beat together,beating quickly so egg doesn't curdle. cool for a little while and add Whisky to taste.
