"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
3 cups quick cooking oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 eggs
2 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup peanut butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a bowl mix together all ingredients until well combined. Grease a 9x13 pan and spread the mixture into the pan. Bake for 20-25 minutes. If you like a little more firm and crunch, cook for a few minutes longer. Serve with warm milk over top. This recipe works great baked into muffin tins. They are pre-portioned and the liners make clean up a snap! They freeze well too.
