8 yellow squash
1egg,
1/2 teas of chopped onion
6 to 10 saltines crumbled
3 slices american cheese
half a stick of butter
10 crumbled saltines

Directions:
Directions:
8 med. squash -- trim ends off, and any spots Peel about half the
yellow skin off. Slice or chop into pieces.

Cover with water and add half teasp. salt. Boil until tender about
half hour. Drain and mash like potatoes, Add

half teasp. chopped onion,one beaten egg, four to six saltines broken
up----three tore up pieces American or cheddar cheese

half stick butter, cut into small parts. Mix together and pour into
a buttered dish. Break up about three saltines and place on
top. Add salt and pepper to taste with squash .
Bake 400 degrees for about thirty min. or until slightly brown on top.
