Split Second Cookies Recipe

Ingredients:  
Sift together;
2 c flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 c sugar

Blend in
3/4 c butter
1 unbeaten egg
2 tsp vanilla
work to form dough

Place on lightly floured cloth and divide into 4 parts.
Shape each into a roll 13" long and 3/4" thick.
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Make a depression 1/4 - 1/2" deep lengthwise down the center of each with knife handle.
Fill depression with Strawberry or Raspberry Jame
about 1/3 cup in all.
