3 cups flour
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp instant coffee
1 cup butter
1+1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup dark corn syrup
1 egg
1 TB cream

NUT FILLING:
1/3 firmly packed brown sugar
1 TB butter
3 TB cherry juice
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream butter. Add brown sugar & cream well.

Blend in corn syrup. egg & cream. Continue to beat until smooth.

Sift together all dry ingredients, then add to wet mixture.

Roll out batter/dough (a third at a time )onto floured surface to a 1/8" thickness
Cut into 2" rounds & place onto ungreased cookie sheets

Make nut filling.
Place 1/2 tsp of filling into middle of round. Fold sides in to shape into a bell. Place a cut cherry on open end.

Bake 12 - 15 minutes
