4 cups unsifted flour
1 pkg. dry yeast
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/2 cup nuts
1/2 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 2 cups flour with yeast. Stir together water, milk, butter & salt over low heat until butter melts. Cool 5 min. or until just real warm.

Add to flour yeast mixture. Add remaining flour, sugar, nuts, raisins and eggs. Dough will be stiff.

Knead until smooth & elastic. Divide dough in half.

Put in 2 greased 1lb. coffee cans. Cover cans with lids. Let rise until 1" from the top. Remove lids.

Bake @ 375 for 35 min.
