1 pound ground pork sausage with sage or maple or Italian
8 oz of trinity mix (or chopped onion, celery and green peppers)
1/2 cup dried berries (cranberry, cherry raisins)
1 large Granny Smith apple (chopped)
1 tbsp. flour
1 - 14 ounce can reduced sodium chicken broth
1 - 6 ounce box cornbread stuffing mix
chopped walnuts, pecans or pine nuts
cooking spray

Preheat oven to 425 degree. Sauté sausage, onion, celery and green peppers until cooked and tender
Add dried berries and nuts

peel apple and chop into small pieces

stir flour into sausage mixture and cook for 2 minutes stirring often and well blended.
stir in apple, cornbread stuffing mix and broth until blended
spray casserole dish and add mixture
bake for 20-25 minutes let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
