1# thinly sliced bacon
1 8 oz. can water chestnuts
1/2# chicken livers (about 20)
Fancy toothpicks

Microwave bacon on high, in the package, until slices easily separate.
Divide bacon slices between 4 paper towel lined paper plates. Cover with paper towel.
Microwave one plate at a time on high for 2 1/2 minutes.
Drain and cut each chestnut in half.
Rinse and drain livers. Cut in half.
Sprinkle bacon strips lightly with ground cloves and brown sugar. Place one piece of chicken liver and one piece water chestnut at the end of each bacon strip. Roll up, securing with a toothpick. Arrange 10 in a circle on each of 4 paper towel lined (1 sheet) paper plates.
Cover with paper towel. Microwave on high 4 to 5 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 turn after 2 minutes. When microwaving from refrigerator temperature, increase time for each plate1/2 to 1 minute.
