Apple Cinnamon Vinegar Recipe

1 chopped apple
handful of cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cup apple cider vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Sterilize glass containers by boiling for 10 minutes.
Heat vinegar to just below boiling and add the apple, cloves, and cinnamon sticks to the jar(s).
Pour in the heated vinegar and shake to combine.
Store the jars in a cool, dark place for 3 - 4 weeks, gently shaking the jar every week to help the flavors meld.
When the desired flavor is reached, strain the vinegar and discard the apples and spices.
Pour the vinegar into clean, sterilized jars and cap tightly, then store in the refrigerator for 4 - 6 months.

***If the vinegar molds or shows signs of fermentation, such as bubbling, cloudiness, or sliminess, discard immediately.
