1 envelope plain gelatin
1/4 cup cold water
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 pinch salt
2 eggs separated
1/4 cup plus 6 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tbsp white rum
chocolate shavings

Directions:
Directions:
Soak the gelatin in the 1/4cup water. Scald the cream. Beat the egg yolks and add the 1/4 cup sugar and salt. Add the egg mixture to the scalded cream stirring constantly (about 5 minutes). It will appear thickened. Add rum and the gelatin mixture and cool. When cool, beat the egg whites until firm and then gradually add the 6 tbsp sugar. Fold the 2 together, mix well. Pour into a baked pie shell. Add the chocolate shavings on the top.
