1 cup softened butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2½ cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 package milk chocolate chips

Beat softened butter, sugar, vanilla and eggs until light and fluffy
Mix in flour and baking soda till well blended
Stir in chocolate chips
Roll in small balls
Place on cookie sheet and flatten with a fork
Bake in preheated 350º oven for 10 min

Oatmeal, coconut, chopped pecans or walnuts are optional additions to this cookie
