Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2-3 pks Buddig sliced beef
3 T oil
1 T butter
4 T flour
1/2 tsp salt
1-2 tsp black pepper
4 C sweet milk, warm

Directions:
Directions:

Cut beef into 1/2 inch strips. Add oil to a heavy skillet or pot. Brown beef for 3-4 minutes, stirring frequently, until it is crispy on the edge, then add salt and pepper. Add flour and brown slightly. Add warm
milk and cook until thick, stirring constantly adding more milk as needed.

Bacon grease can also be used. If you use a jar of dried beef (Armour), then rinse well and dry before using or it will too salty.

Heat milk in microwave and you will not have lumpy gravy.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I have been eating this all my life and continued cooking this for kids and grand kids. Good any time of the day. I usually have to make it in a big pot instead of a frying pan. Still a favorite. It is good over biscuits or toasted white bread. We always have fried potatoes with the gravy.
