8 oz. tube of crescent rolls
2½ C frozen hash browns (no need to thaw first)
1 lb breakfast sausage; cooked and drained
1 small onion, finely diced
½ C shredded cheddar cheese
½ C shredded monterey jack cheese
8 large eggs
1¼ cups whole milk (or 2%)
¾ teaspoon coarse salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon dry mustard powder

Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Grease 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
Unroll the crescent dough and place in the bottom of the baking dish, pressing the seams together. Bake for 5 minutes.

Cook sausage and onion together until sausage is browned and broken into crumbles. Drain grease.

Remove pan from oven and put hash browns in an even layer on top of the crescent rolls. Next, layer the sausage mixture on top of the hash browns in an even layer.
Sprinkle the cheeses on top of the sausage.

In a large bowl, beat the eggs. Whisk in the milk and all the seasonings. Slowly pour evenly over the casserole.
Bake 35 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes clean. Let cool 5 to 10 minutes a few minutes before serving.
