2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 Cups mof ilk
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. quick-cooking tapioca
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 egg whites
4 tbsp. sugar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix egg yolks, milk, sugar, quick-cooking tapioca, and salt in a saucepan.

2. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils. Remove from heat. Cool. Stir in the vanilla.

3. Fold in the meringue that is made with the egg whites and 4 tbsp. sugar.

4. Spoon into sherbert glasses. Serve with cream. If desired, fold in fresh or drained canned fruit, or pour over fruit in sherbet glasses.
