4 large Granny Smith apples
4 large Honey Crisp apples
4 T. melted butter
½ cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
8 T. apple juice or water
3 T. cornstarch or flour

Directions:
Directions:
(1.) Peel, core and slice apples into ¼"-½" slices.

(2.) Put apples in a bowl and coat with sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.

(3.) In separate bowl whisk juice or water and cornstarch.

(4.) In a large saucepan add apple mixture, cornstarch mixture and melted butter.
Stir thoroughly and cook over medium heat until thickened and apples are fork tender. (* about 6-8 minutes)

(5.) Place in unbaked pie shell and bake according to pie directions
