"As I ate the oysters with their strong taste of the sea and their faint metallic taste that the cold white wine washed away, leaving only the sea taste and the succulent texture, and as I drank their cold liquid from each shell and washed it down with the crisp taste of the wine, I lost the empty feeling and began to be happy, and to make plans."--Ernest Hemingway

Ingredients:
DRY
2 1/2 C rolled oats regular, not instant
1 1/2 C almonds or any combination of nuts
1/2 C sunflower seeds raw
1/4 C pumpkin seeds
1/2 sesame seeds raw
2 T flaxseed ground

2 T almond butter
1 T brown sugar
1 T honey

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees

In a medium saucepan, simmer the wet ingredients on low for 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently until mixed. In a very large mixing bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. Add the wet mixture (while still warm) over top the dry mixture and stir well (it will be very thick). Mix until everything is thoroughly combined.

Spread onto a pan lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even baking. Allow to cool for 20-25 minutes before serving. The granola will stiffen up as it cools.

Crunchy Granola: Bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, but be careful not to burn it.
