7 slices of white bread. Do not remove the crust. Cut into cubes
1½ cups diced ham (sausage, bacon, or spam)
½ pound American cheese cut into cubes
3 cups milk
6 beaten eggs
¾ teaspoon salt
¾ teaspoon dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
In a 9 x 13 pan, place the bread cubes, then the ham, and then the cheese. Beat eggs, milk, salt, and dry mustard until well beaten. Pour over bread, ham, and cheese.
Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight or at least a few hours. Uncover, and bake for 45 minutes at 350º

This was our Christmas morning breakfast. My mom, Margie, would put it in the oven when we came over on Christmas morning. We would open gifts and then breakfast would be ready. I continued the tradition with my grandchildren and children.
