"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
Ingredients:
2 cups Self-Rising Flour (NOTE: If you only have all-purpose flour simply mix in 1 tbsp. baking powder and ½ tsp salt, and it'll work just fine.)
½ cup Cold Salted Butter, cut up into small cubes
6 TBSP Cold Milk, plus more, if needed

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450º.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine flour and butter.
Using a pastry cutter, a fork, or 2 knives, cut in butter until a coarse meal develops and butter is evenly distributed.
Add cold milk and stir until a soft dough forms. If the dough is sticky, add more flour, 1 TBSP at a time. If the dough is dry, add more milk, 1 TBSP at a time.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 20 seconds, adding flour if the dough becomes sticky.
Roll out to ½ inch thick, and cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter, or the round rim of a drinking glass. Press together the uncut dough and continue rolling and cutting biscuits.
Bake until lightly golden brown on top and fragrant, about 10-13 minutes. Serve hot with butter.
