½ c. sugar

2 T. cornstarch

1-2/3 c. milk

2 beaten eggs

1 t. vanilla



Directions:
Directions:
In saucepan combine sugar, cornstarch, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Stir in milk. Cook till bubbly. Cook 2 minutes more. Gradually stir 1 cup of the hot mixture into eggs; return to saucepan. Cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
