2 cups flour
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. Heat the oven to 350ºF.
2. Mix flour and sugar in a mixing bowl.
3. Add butter and vanilla and squeeze mixture with your hand until it is smooth and well blended.
4. Divide dough in half and pat each one into a half-inch thick circle on an ungreased baking sheet.
5. Prick a design on top of each circle with a fork. Pinch the edges of the dough to form a fancy pattern.
6. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, until light golden brown. Cool, then cut or break into serving size pieces. Makes two round pieces, about 7" each.
